White
The shelter coat takes inspiration from US Military M51 fishtail/'mod' parkas (with its dropped back hem, oversize removable hood, and voluminous sleeves), updating it with a novel set of details and materials that bring it into the ambiguously physical-digital Chloma universe. Pure white technical polyester shell with padded details around hem, plackets, and pocketflaps create a palpable sense of softness and comfort, a nod towards Margiela's Duvet coats and, in keeping with its namesake 'shelter,' the sensation of being enveloped in something soft yet protective. A perfect blend of soft tactility and sharp, aggressive, futuristic detailing for a garment that can function as a piece of armor. Translucent removable padded inner liner rounds out the icy synthetic/electronic aesthetic, further blurring the line between an avatar's inventory and a human's wardrobe.
Finished with excella zipper front closure, removable insulated wire-molded funnel hood with high chinguard, shockcord hem, and elasticated cuffs.
